OffsetKit Support

Pipe offset geometry with clear diagrams, tape fractions, and saved results.

Geometry only. Verify inputs, fitting deductions, and field dimensions before cutting. OffsetKit does not check codes, fitting tables, materials, tools, weld preparation, bend development, or fabrication tolerances.

Getting started

  1. Choose Simple Offset or Rolling Offset.
  2. Select imperial or metric units in Settings.
  3. Enter the offset dimensions and bend angle.
  4. Read the result, diagram, and calculation details as they update.
  5. Use Copy for a text summary or Save to keep the calculation locally with an optional name.

Tools

Simple Offset

Enter one offset magnitude and the equal bend angle. OffsetKit reports travel, run, and shrink.

Rolling Offset

Enter a rise magnitude, an Up or Down direction, a side-roll magnitude, a Left or Right direction, and the equal bend angle. OffsetKit reports true offset, travel, run, shrink, and rotation.

Rotation is described while looking downstream along the starting pipe axis:

Result meanings

True offset
The combined transverse distance for a rolling offset.
Travel
The diagonal centerline distance between bend centers. Travel is not automatically the pipe cut length.
Run
The axial advance along the starting pipe axis.
Shrink
Travel minus run. This is a geometry value, not a complete bender-mark correction.
Rotation
The rolling layout direction while looking downstream.
Cut length
Travel minus the user-entered start takeout, end takeout, start gap, and end gap.

Connector deductions

Connector deductions are optional and collapsed until you open them. Each entry is a value you supply along the diagonal connector:

OffsetKit does not supply fitting dimensions or decide what a takeout or gap should mean for your material or shop. If the total deductions are equal to or greater than travel, cut length is unavailable.

Units and rounding

Imperial input uses whole inches plus a selected tape-fraction precision. Metric input uses millimeters. OffsetKit calculates internally before rounding values for display. Changing display precision does not alter the underlying saved dimensions.

Saved calculations

Saved calculations and optional names stay in private storage on the device. No account or network connection is used. Android backup is disabled, so there is no cloud restore or device-transfer feature. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes all saved calculations and settings, and they cannot be restored.

What OffsetKit does not account for

OffsetKit does not account for pipe diameter, wall thickness, bend radius, fitting interference, manufacturer dimensions, weld preparation, springback, pressure rules, building or trade codes, equipment behaviour, or fabrication tolerance. It does not approve a cut, bend, fitting, weld, design, or installation.

Privacy

OffsetKit requests no user-granted permissions and sends no app data over the internet. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

Purchases and refunds

Google Play handles purchases, receipts, taxes, and refund eligibility. OffsetKit support cannot see or change payment-card details. Use Google Play's purchase history or help options for store-payment problems.
